Airline Case

I think I'll go for a Peli 1510. It's just for 2 bodies, 2 Flash units and 4 lenses. That aluminum case is just too much plus the weight.

Just ordered the padded dividers one before i've seen your post. Now that I've checked my ticket, I got 30Kg checked in luggage allowance and a 1 piece7Kg carry on luggage allowance on Singapore Airlines. That means, i can't use it. Ohh Me.

I have gotten away a few times with other airlines but only because I got a "Flyer" card with them. This is my first with Singapor airlines. Well, Whats the odds if put the lens in check in luggage wrapped in a towel or jacket maybe?

Finally got it today. Went for the Peli Storm IM2500. Same configuration but lighter. :)

For one thing, with that much weight, you don't need to carry it on your back. Secondly, price difference is not that much when you consider the longevity of the case and the assurance that even if you banged your case, your stuff is well protected. I've got a LowePro 350 and a ThinkTank Retro 30. I can use them for a days strolling and snapping, but I don't think it offers the same protection as much as the Peli does when in long haul transport. I would still bring my Retro with me and use it in my destination.
