The latest fan and CPU cooler from Akasa are both available now.

Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM2/AM3) @ £37.99 inc VAT

Venom, this cooler is definitely rock and roll. Venom delivers ultra high performance enabling serious system overclocking. The 12cm killer Viper yellow fan uses S-Flow blades providing 30% more airflow than a standard fan at the same speed. PWM function ensures quiet operation during normal system use and performance cooling under load.
The Black cover and nickel plated heatpipes combined with the Viper yellow elements creates a striking combination which adds pazazz to any system. Four high capacity 8mm heatpipes with direct CPU contact provide rapid heat transfer from CPU to 45 aluminium fins. Anti-vibration rubber fan mounting pins provide easy installation and help to elimate a lot of fan noise. Adjustable mountings ensure full compatibility with all current AMD and Intel CPU’s.
The Smart cooler design allows for the installation of a second fan, giving extreme performance in a push-pull setup where the first fan “pushes” air through the heatsink’s cooling fins, at the same time the second one “pulls” air through from the other side. The combined airflow of two 12cm fans results in more efficient heat dissipation and consequently lower CPU temperatures.

- Dimensions: 120 (W) x 96 (D) x 160 (H) mm
- Fan speed: 600-1900 RPM (PWM controlled)
- Max airflow: 83.63 CFM
- Noise level: 6.9 - 28.9 dB(A)
- Performance 12cm PWM fan in killer Viper yellow
- 4 high capacity 8mm heatpipes with direct CPU contact
- Award winning S-FLOW fan blades provide 30% more airflow
- Smart design allows for a 2nd fan for extreme performance
- Rubber fan mounts for easy installation and quiet performance

Akasa AK-FN059 120mm Ultra Quiet Viper Cool Fan - 3/4 Pin @ £14.99 inc VAT

FG-059-AK_400.jpg

High performance 12cm fan with S-FLOW blades supplying 30% more airflow than a standard fan at the same speed. The greater performance combined with PWM automatic speed control allows the fan noise to be kept to a minimum.
The Viper fan creates more focused airflow providing blind-spot cooling, which makes it an ideal solution for a case or heatsink fan. HDB (Hydro Dynamic) bearings extend fan life and further enhance noise reduction. Killer Viper yellow colour makes this fan distinctive and unique.

- High performance 12cm fan in killer VIPER yellow colour
- S-FLOW fan blade design delivers 30% higher airflow
- Super silent with PWM auto speed control
- Hydro Dynamic Bearing extends fan life up to 50,000 hours
- Dimension: 120 X 120 X 25mm
- Fan speed: 600 -1900 RPM
- Max airflow: 83.63 CFM (141.75 m3/h)
- Max static air pressure: 2.98 mm H2O
- Noise level: 6.9 -28.9 dB(A)
- Fan life expectancy: 50,000 hours
- Connector: 4pin PWM

We have tested it today, it performs very well from what rjkoneill said.

He said it beats a fenrir and is on par with megahalem.

is the airflow with one fan or 2 ? , if it is just one i am supprised it is not louder

edit : ordered one anyways :)

it worth replacing my titan with this?

No. You won't see much of a difference performance wise. It gets nearly as noisy as Titan Fenrir does at max fan speed and does not cool much better (if any). Replace the Fenrir's fan if you want a quiet cooling solution.

Akasa Venom looks sweet anyway.

i would post temperature comparisons,
but with the glorious weather we are being blessed with at the moment, my office is very warm. its currently adding about 10'c to all of the overclocking test benches.

the venom is sat behind me at the moment on an i7920 at 4.2GHz using 1.36vcore.

the temperatures are 72, 75, 75, 73 max across the cores according to real temp. today it is a little cooler so the temperatures are more realistic.

i am using MX3 termal interface material.

i have been using it with only one fan but tried a second fan, it didnt make much of a difference.

this is the first akasa heatsink i can say that i am genuinley impressed with.
the fan is very good, much better than the apache fans. they seem to spin too slow to cool properly but the viper fan is quite quick and not too loud. its a good tradeoff especially considering the price difference between this and the megahalem.

the megahalem is still the best air cooler, but for the price this is a very very close second. and it comes with a good quality fan!

That's a pretty good result indeed. I like that new fan, nice colour of yellow and black for a change! Maybe painting my Antec 1200 as a yellow and black called Wasperoverclock!

Id be interested in those fans, PWM at 600-1900 is very nice, may purchase a pair to try on my TRUE, current Arctic F12's are struggling a bit in this warm weather. Colour is a bit odd though.:D
