Albinoleffe v Piacenza has a smell about it

dont think that was fixed

napoli would have wanted the win, they were at home and have a good home record, inter have a poor away record. going for a draw would have benefited no-one. and the types of players at each club wouldn't want to get involved in this type of thing either i would think.

You're forgetting the key point; it's Italian football. It defies any sort of logic.

Reading some other forums apparently it's the clubs' owners that get involved with this as well.

It's a great way to help cover the bills. Italian football, even at the top is in a massive decline. It's an incredibly boring league. No surprises that they've lost a Champs League spot to The Bundesliga.

In other parts if a local side isn't going for any important league places then they're likely to draw at the end of the season. Not doing so would be disrespectful toward the local mafia, e.g. S Italy.

I don't think the Italian league is "boring" it's just much more technical and played at a slower pace then the English / Spanish / German leagues (and some others in Europe)

Quick update.

Reuters report that Serie A clubs Chievo Verona and Atalanta - along with former Italian internationals Giuseppe Signori and Cristiano Doni - have been cited for suspected match-fixing by the Italian football federation's sporting prosecutor, the governing body said on its website.

More here.

Palermo v Parma in Serie A tonight looks like one to keep an eye on.

The DRAW is now favourite at 2.78. It's very rare that you get the DRAW as favourite.

We shall see.
