Album purchase suggestions - tell me what to buy

I'm looking to buy some new albums - what's worth a listen? I like many kinds of music, so any suggestions welcome. I've got my eye on the new Muse and Jay-Z albums, but I'm also tempted by some old skool Beastie Boys stuff.

Anything else I should be considering?

I get a lot of suggestions from music I already own, and have found some pretty obscure bands that I would never have even contemplated

The new Muse album seems to divide opinion fairly heavily, I personally love it but I know others who think it's **** so it may be worth having a listen on spotify, last fm etc before you rush out and buy, just to make sure it's your kind of thing...

Just throwing a random one out there...it is a very good album though.


If you have spotify, download other peoples play lists, you can find so much music that you never knew existed.
