Disappointing that its only gold rated efficiency when the 1500 corsair is Titanium.

Id of at least expected Platinum to be honest

There shall be a Titanium version at a later date at a much higher price. :)

Which is even more disapointing as the titanium corsair is only ~£310 last time I looked. I think EVGA have dropped the ball on this one, more about getting a bigger number out and not the important stuff, eg efficiency!

I think its more a case of quantity instead of quality when it comes to SuperFlower as an OEM. This particular manufacturer doesn't look at the quality, and just pushes for the higher numbers at a cost of reliablity and safety, but I'm sure Overclockers will say differently as they are out to sell as many of them as they can.

This is proven with the numerous poor reviews on the SuperFlower units and even more so when EVGA had to recall all of a certain number of SuperFlower made units a few months back.

No matter how the glitter and sprinkles are all put on top of it, the underlying product is still a turd.

This particular model, I have nothing to prove or reference that, but from other SuperFlower units I'm basing that this model will be more of the same.

Not heard of any issues with Superflower branded units and only the heatpad issue on the EVGA's prior to 2013. There was a remote chance the supply might short and the thermal shut down be initiated. EVGA recalled the units and replaced FOC including postage.

It was one issue with a remote chance of failure that was dealt with swiftly. Hardly a reason to write of an OEM for this.

Superflower units are in my opinion one of the better OEM's at the moment using high quality components and decent filtering stages. My other recommendation is Be-quiet for the same reasons.

If you want to see bad PSU's have a look at the Corsair RM range and the poor quality components used on a PSU branded as a high quality unit.

i moved from a 550w be quiet to a 650w superflower leadex. the leadex is a solid psu, very good, but the cabling is a let down really. Its thinner and the connectors just feel cheap. The cables are also really short on the 650w! If i was buying again, i dont think i would!

I think, being an EVGA fan, I will be getting this when the 58XX cpu's hit the market :)
By the way, you guys should really stock EVGA custom colored cables now.
I checked EVGA site and they make braided cables for all G2/P2 PSUs in Black, Red, Blue and White.

EDIT: I also never heard my 1kw P2 spin :) eco mode ftw.
