** ALL HAIL OUR MOST POWERFUL PSU YET: EVGA SuperNova G2 1600W!! **

I think its more a case of quantity instead of quality when it comes to SuperFlower as an OEM. This particular manufacturer doesn't look at the quality, and just pushes for the higher numbers at a cost of reliablity and safety, but I'm sure Overclockers will say differently as they are out to sell as many of them as they can.

This is proven with the numerous poor reviews on the SuperFlower units and even more so when EVGA had to recall all of a certain number of SuperFlower made units a few months back.

No matter how the glitter and sprinkles are all put on top of it, the underlying product is still a turd.

This particular model, I have nothing to prove or reference that, but from other SuperFlower units I'm basing that this model will be more of the same.

Superflower have Titanium models coming.
They have won many awards and the guru of PSU reviews Jonny Guru rates them very highly.

You mention recalls that was due to bad batch of fan bearings in the fans used causing rattling/grinding, hardly a quality issue of the PSU internals and something they resolved fast.

The quality is un-questionable, our Corsair AXi 1200W was struggling with three 290X, the Superflower dealt with four 290X without issue.

Best PSU I've owned, rock solid and silent. :)

The only thing I dislike about them is that my Supernova warranty sticker has come off, it really wasn't that well stuck on which has meant that my side fan blow it off the top of the PSU. Still got it so if ever I have to RMA with Evga it will be interesting, even have the box with the other same warranty sticker on it.

As long as you have the sticker from the box that is enough and you do not need to worry!!
The 1600W PSU will also show up with Platin and Titanium certification soon

Have a 1000w p2

Great psu. Cables are really nicely finished. Red for pci E and black for everything else
The actual wires being one colour is a nice touch too

With crossfire and 2 cards I shouldn't ever need more juice but if I did I would definitely get another evga

I have been using this unit since last week, great workhorse. No eco mode on any of the G2 series other than the 750 and 850 G2 which is a shame. The upcoming 1600P2 and 1600T2 will have it, but at a higher price. The fan on this is arguably quieter than on the 1300G2 at the same loads, but a bit louder than the one on the 1600G2 and 750G2. I am getting a 1200 P2 soon to compare and test out. But for the price, this is a great unit!

The capacitors on the stock cables can cause some issues if wanting to custom sleeve but EVGA themselves don't use the caps in their individually sleeved cable kit so take it for what it's worth.

No worries mate. I got 3-4 of the EVGA versions, including the 1600G2 and 1200P2. Might get the 1600T2 soon depending on a few things I am working on with EVGA :)

I was a Corsair Ax1200i guy before, but these are way better for the buck imo.
