I just want to scream, I need to replace my S-MX4s with a new pair of boots and I want the S-MX6s in Waterproof or GoreTex. Apparently these are near impossible to source!

First order was placed, lead time of 3-5 days. 1 week later I get an email from the retailer cancelling my order as they are unable to source stock.

Second order placed, lead time of 17 days. Query if the lead time is valid, a few days later am told to expect delivery in September. No chance, order cancelled.

Third order placed, 'In Stock'. Query if stock status is valid, 3 days later receive reply telling me to expect delivery in NOVEMBER.

Back to the drawing board now....seemingly you cannot order from AlpineStars direct and every website I have been on cannot source them. :(

SBS don't have them. Their stock listing is inaccurate. The stock status is "Ships in 3-5 Days" but the reality is they drop-ship the product direct from supplier who........does not have them.

The S-MX 6 WPs I ordered were In Stock with the same 3-5 Day status, I queried the order and they are now "Discontinued"

Trying MotoCard now, phoned ahead and said they were in stock in their Spanish Warehouse....we shall see :/

Fingers crossed. I did get the lady on the phone to verify they had physical stock. Lots of 1 star reviews of MotoCard on review sites though, largely based around stock or lack thereof (Even one person verifying stock on phone like I did and there still not being any!)

Extortionate shipping to Jersey though. Cant be arsed now, just need a new pair of boots and I like and fit into the Astars stuff well.

Motocard price is exactly the same as the ones in the UK for the WP and GoreTex, or are you talking about different boot model?

Ebay is £229 base price. Other sites I can get it down for £168. When you start adding in delivery etc then the price difference is quite pronounced. Ebay sellers largely refuse to remove VAT.

Arrived today. Although shipping was £38 it was sent via UPS. Picked up in Spain on Tuesday 21st (yes, yesterday) and arrived in my porch today at 10am...in Jersey.

I cannot get a letter from a local company through my letetrbox in that time!

As for the boots, lovely! SMX-6 Goretex. Unlike my SMX-4s which were tight to start before giving in these are comfy from the get go. They seem to have a little more width in the foot which suits me nicely. More touring style than racing which are narrower it seems.

Would thoroughly recommend MotoCard though, even removed VAT at checkout which is nice. No faffing.
