But they are convincingly beating BTC. So it's not the pairing with BTC causing the rise.

Yes, maybe individually as a % gain, but the market cap of BTC has increased by $60BN in that time.

You can be sure BTC is the reason behind the whole market going up. A rising tide lifts all ships, etc.

The fact that most alt coins are outperforming BTC is not unusual. In fact, it was last years bull run where BTC flew and alt coins died that was unusual. Possibly as that entire run up was likely due to the Plustoken ponzi and they only accepted BTC and ethereum (I think) to buy in.

If charts are anything to go by (and I'm not a great believer), there's a perfect 5 wave up with an abc correction in the BTC dominance chart, meaning, if there's anything to it the so called alt season may end although as is always the case, there's other things going on in the 'charts' too :).

Most alt coins are out performing BTC, then I call that alt season. Every alt coin in the top 10 (except tether) has done better than BTC since the local bottom. Even XRP.

The only question to me is how long it will last.

Bitcoin just dumped, and alts dumped even harder.

    This is the way.
