Alternative to Asus P8P67 PRO

I also had to RMA my Asus board - I chose an asrock extreme4.

Very pleased with it so far - everything about it is better except for the looks (which I don't care about). Feels sturdier (more screws to mount to case as well) - has more functionality, comes with better a much better manual, the bios UI is not buggy (my Asus bios kept glitching and not saving changes I was making), gives me more feedback (error codes via led display on the board) - has a button on the back of the case to clear the cmos (if you are going to be overclocking {which I'm not} this is very cool - it means you don't need to have your case open to clear your cmos with jumpers or whatever), it has buttons directly on the board to power up and reset (don't need to connect the front panel cables when testing) even the packaging was better - and for the same money I got a higher spec board.

Seems like they have a rep for being cheap - but I havn't seen many people with a concrete reason for dismissing the brand. I'm not sure about performance but for my needs....

Reliability > Performance

roman59 what memory are you using?

i am using 8 gig of Corsair XMS3 (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9.

Not really sure if the board is worth the extra £75 but i was running a GAX58 UD5 & had no problems with it at all, which was the main reason I bought this one.

Cheers

My last couple Asus boards have been a bit meh and want to have the UEFi bios so decided to get something different.

My Asrock P67 Professional should be here on Monday along with a 2500k, can't wait to see what they can do :D
