I know OcUK use them for their 'excellent service' and what not, but I really want to rant because my Logitech G25 wheel that should have been here on Thurs will now not turn up until Monday.

If I am not allowed then please close thread.

Thank you

Never used them, still yet to have the experience, but I'll wait till next year, as this year has had a habit of dumping poop on me :p

while citylink where perfect for me, DPD have been pretty poor.

On the plus side though the driver seems to be a reasonably attractive lass :D

I don't know the proceedings of slating the selected courier, but as it's not OcUK themselves you should be ok.

However I think it's the luck of the draw, DPD in Scotland have given me consistently excellent service.

Generally, it's not the company that is the problem, it's the drives you get on your runs.

For citylink, they were the best in my area. The guy who delivered on my run would try his best to get the package to me.

If no one answered he'd shout my name through the letter box. :p

If I missed a delivery at all, I could give him a call and he'd drop it on on his return trip.

Dont worry about it.

I was waiting for Parcelfarce. Didnt turn up. Apparently the address was not known / illegible.
But yet they still 'apparently' turned up the next day and I refused it. News to me! as they certainly didnt turn up here! They have now sent it back to the sender. They really are mega-crap.

I had that same crap from Parcelforce a few months ago. Managed to blag a free Saturday delivery upgrade out of them, which gave me a different, and more importantly a better driver. :)

DPD, Citylink, DHL and UPS are all good for me here. FedEx even rang me to get directions, and then offered to take it to my place of work.

I've only had a couple of DPD deliveries, but have found them to be very good. Particularly the fact that you can leave an instruction on their website where to leave goods if you are not in and that then counts for all future deliveries form whatever supplier.

when I bought from a competitor a year ago I never had a problem with DPD, I actually asked them to deliver to my workplace (which was standing outside the art gallery in York) and they did. Granted I knew one of the drivers, but still :D

Well first off my housemate was not in the house cos she had 'plans' already. so even to sit in the house for an hour was not something she could do.

So, I thought ok they will re-deliver on friday. They didn't even attempt said delivery because I looked on their site to keep track and it basically said:

Unable to deliver. Allocated time not enough. Or something along those lines.

I was not impressed. So I decided to ring the number this morning. Me and my housemate had popped out for me to pick up other stuff from the Post Office and do a bit food shopping. When we got back I was still trying to speak to someone on the phone when my housemate found a second calling card. They had been to re-deliver this morning at 9.35am! Of course I didn't know this as I didn't check the website for tracking as I thought maybe Monday will be the next working day...not saturday as most couriers dont class Saturday as a working day.

So I have been on the website and re-arranged for an upgrade delivery for Monday morning. Which I had to pay for but never mind.

I'm not saying I won't use them again but I jsut wanted to let out my frustration over it. Had my housemate been in the house in the first place all this would not have happened and I'd be happily enjoying my weekend playing with my new wheel.

that doesnt seem like their fault really, it would have been deliverd but no one was there and they are too busy to do it on the friday

Is it really any surprise that couriers take longer to deliver things in December?

If you wanted it quickly you should have paid for Next Day.

So it's pretty much your fault for not being at home or having someone there to sign for it?

Erm...I was at work...my housemate is currently not working...What I am more annoyed about is the fact they couldn't deliver it on friday stating they had no time left...and yet they class saturday as a working day. So I've had to pay an extra £5 to get it re-delivered for monday. This time my housemate will be in.

That wouldn't have made any difference. Besides it was Next Day but free seeing as I have been a loyal member on the forum. I bought it Wed.

Why didn't you get it delivered to your place of work then?
