Am I right in thinking it's 3 year warranty with HE store?

Hey,

I'm going to be selling my iMac soon mot likely, and I went to check that it still had 1.5 years left of HE warranty, inputted my serial number and it says the warranty had expired.

I was under the impression that hardware bought off the HE store included 36month apple care for parts and labour (but not phone support), is this wrong?

Thanks guys.

I've had the same issue with my current and previous MacBook Pros. Two phone calls to AppleCare resulted in Apple confirming that the warranty is in fact 3 years not 1 year as stated on their website.

Did it get sorted online for you too?

If I'm selling it I want the person who buys it off me to be able to take it into an apple store for a repair if it breaks without me having to take it for them.

It still said 1 year for me after the phone calls and I'm happy enough with Apple's confirmation over the phone :p

You don't have to worry about taking the iMac to an Apple store for the buyer since the AppleCare warranty is tied to the Mac regardless of whoever owns it :)

That's good to know. He/she should have 18months left when I sell it in January/February. :)
