Hey guys,

I see a similar thread open but I think my CPU will yield different answers :P

I've basically got this chip lying around with nothing to do since my ASUS M2N-SLI deluxe died on me. I RMAed the board and got around 85 Euros for it a year or two ago now which I was chuffed with.

I want to resurrect the chip with a decent board. I have acquired an Antec 500 watt PSU, 2GB of Corsair XM2 PC6400 and a ATI Radeon XTX1950 so I'll be able to run some decent stuff on it.

I'm going to look for a cheap mobo that will be decent for it. I'll look for it 2nd hand but I honestly have no idea what to look for as the M2N-SLI Deluxe was my only ever experience with AM2 boards and it was a decent one.

If people can throw out good board names I'll hunt for them and let you guys know what I can pick up.

Cheers!!

Glen

I recently did a build using a X2 4000+ and stuck it in an AM2+ board

GA-MA78GM-UD2H

It was compatible from the first BIOS revision and allowed the CPU to be upgraded in the future if needbe.

Managed to pick it up for £35 from ebay.
