Abit Fatal1ty AN9 32X (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-103-AB)

or

Asus M2N32-SLi-DLX nForce 590 SLi (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-142-AS)

Im thinking about getting that ABIT Fatali1ty, but it says socket AM2
and some motherboards are saying Socket AM2 is *** same socket as 939 cpu`s use....

can anyone clearify please.

EDIT: ahh never mind even if they where compatible i would still need DDR2 lol i dont think DDR1 would work in them or would they :o

Socket AM2 and Socket 939 are totally different.

AM2 is a brand new socket and will only accept AM2 CPUs. This uses DDR2 RAM.

Socket 939 is an old socket and will only accept a 939 CPU. This uses normal DDR RAM.
