Amarettos, anyone?

I think your receipe is slightly wrong there or at least can be improved, half a pint of coke and half a pint of lager in the same glass then drop in the shot of Amaretto and down it before it stops fizzing, it even looks like a Dr Pepper. That is what we drink for a Dr Pepper up here but since I don't like the original soft drink Amaretto has little use for me. :)

Thats the version our ladies drink ! and yes that version is slightly sweeter to the palet and a little more like Dr Pepper.

Aye, way too sweet on it's own. I prefer to mix with coke or orange juice. With coke it tastes exactly like Dr Pepper :D

Well the centurion is a shot of beer (25ml) every minute for 100 minutes. This is just under 5 pints. And the centurion isn't particularly easy.

4 pints of san miguel in 30 minutes would make you feel uncomfortable I'd have thought...

For something different with amaretto - mix a quarter pint of coke and a quarter pint of lager, and drop in a shot of amaretto. Tastes just like Dr Pepper. :)

My thoughts exactly. Maybe i'm a bit useless but eating, socialising, chatting etc. and downing 4 pints would be pretty damn difficult. I struggle drinking a pint with a meal to be honest; it's too much liquid and mostly overshadows your meal.

Whoever said rice wine to get drunk knows a thing or two. From my brief experience with a single shot of it to top off a night.. well let's just say it was messy :(

Remember kids -- drinking to get drunk is cooool.

Yes, I had a bottle and chucked it.

Way way too sweet, like all girly drinks are.

And at 28/29% it's not strong either.

I don't see why anyone would drink it, it spoils anything it touches.

As I understand it the difficulty comes not so much from the volume as the constant drinking plus the extra air you add by shotting and the pouring required rather than just downing the pint for instance.

I would agree though that 4 pints in 30 minutes is generally going some. :)

It's not really meant to be drunk in neat form... there's a sticker on the bottle usually that gives some mixing recomendations...

It's like saying "Oh I can't stand Vodka, it just has no taste and is a bit acidy!"...

And at 28/29% it's not strong either.

So? Is it not "cool" to drink something unless it's one of the strongest on the shelf?

I can eat dinner in 20 minutes easy, obviously I won't eat that fast in company but if i'm not paying attention I don't chew a lot.

You're the one who asked the question implying it was some sort of strong drink and assuming I'd never had any because I called it a girls drink.

It's disgusting neat, it ruins any mixer, it's not strong.

It's horrible.

Got any other problems with my opinion of Amaretto?

What's the point in overcomplicating the post when "girly" will suffice.

You can't honestly say a drink that the female gender favour more over alternatives (better for you?) aren't always disgustingly sickly sweet that ruin any drink they're mixed with, Amaretto tastes exactly the same as the rest of the drinks that the female gender favour more over alternatives.

Who would have thought someone could get so upset because I despise Amaretto.
