.
So in the UK we get.
Kindle Fire: £129 (think slightly upgraded BB Playbook with 8GB storage)
Kindle Fire HD 7: £159 (think proper Nexus 7 competitor with 16GB storage)
No Kindle Fire HD 8.9 yet. (think full iPad 3 competitor)
All will be ad supported via the lock screen.
Not too bad...
:'( i want the 8.9
So how do the specs of the 7" HD compare to the nexus/ galaxy 7?
I wish the Paperwhite had page turn buttons, they're so much better than swiping a screen. I really dislike how everything has gone touchscreen only now.
On a side note, anyone know if these will ever get some stock android love, I dont care too much for amazons crap.

More or less the same, not to sure about the SoC, it has better storage as standard as it starts at 16gb thou and topping off at 32gb.

Soc: Dual-core,
1.2GHz OMAP 4460
Seems a bit weak compared to the Nexus 7. Is this the same chip as the Galaxy Nexus?
And for $120 that's a good deal - might have to give the Kindle Keyboard to the wife and get me a new one
