I assume that two card was as good as 12.4 WHQL so i will skip testing that for now.
So, 3 x 7970 quick test in Tri-fire at 1440p all maxxed settings:
Batman - Broken, 30fps slideshow
Crysis 2 - Broken, 30fps slideshow
Heaven - Working, Excellent scaling
Battlefield 3 - Working, Excellent scaling
Skyrim - 3rd GPU Disabled.
So, 3 x 7970 quick test in Tri-fire at 1440p all maxxed settings:

3 GPU's is probably not worth the hassle.
2 is enough anyway. I would sell the 3rd and get the cash back.
They should work as a minimum. You expect some issues as a matter of course but not just full out broken.
Lo mate, can you try 3dmark 11 and Heaven in 3 card mode to see if they have totally wrecked this too, like it has done for me.
The gpu usage is a complete joke with this set, anything other than battlefield 3 simply does not work.

It seems this driver dont detect display upon system start up. When I go into CCC and you can click identify display and a BIG number one comes up on screen, If I click detect it auto fits the screen size for me.

Are these worth it for a single 6970 or is it crossfire only? Just some peole have said it has improved BF3 for them.

its alright completely missed it was a cat 12.6 as well i thought it was just the cap for crossfire downloading now.

Getting a little screen stutter with these on a pair of 6970's in BF3! Back to the 12.4's I go for now.

Was reading about it, and supposedly the nameing convention is going to stay the same, well if that is rthe case why do we have the 12.6's already?
Surely these are the 12.5 betas?

I'm going back to 12.4. Gaming performance is temperamental, I get random flickering and that overscan feature is missing, (I could have lived without it, but when gaming performance drops then it isn't worth it)
3DMARK - Broken, 30fps slideshow
Max Payne 3 - Working, Good scaling in 1080p DVI only. 3 cards in 1440p displayport mode results in weird FPS and utilisation - broken
