I am working on building my first AMD pc.

I want to witch AM3 motherboard is the best to use for word processing and a little low level gaming chipset 700 and chipset 800,
As i have never worked with AMD before i want to know the basic difference with chipset 700 and chipset 800

CPU will be a AMD Athlon II X4

Also:

Some AMD mother boards have 4 ram slots in the item spec say you can use 2 DDR2 or 2 DDR3 Dose this mean you can only use 2 ram slots at a time or can you run both DDR2 and DDR3 at the same time?

For basic use and low level gaming you probably won't notice much difference between 7 and 8 chipsets. Might as well get a 7 series and save a bit of cash.

Which boards are you looking at that can take DDR2 and DDR3? I couldn't see any when I had a quick look just now

The board is AM2+/AM3
ASRock N68C-S UCC GeForce 7025 >LINK<

the listing says
- Dual Channel DDR3/DDR2 memory technology
- 2 x DDR3 DIMM 1600/1333/1066/800MHz Slots (Max. 8GB)
- 2 x DDR2 DIMM 1066/800/667/533MHz Slots (Max. 8GB)

The blue slots are for ddr3 and the yellow are for ddr2. You can't run both ddr2 and ddr3 at the same time. DDR3 is cheaper and easier to get hold of now so unless you already have some DDR2 then there isn't really a reason to go for DDR2. Also unless you had 2x 4gb modules to go into that motherboard then you would realistically be limited to 4gb instead of the max 8gb.

That motherboard chipset is pretty old too, you would be better going for something like this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-424-AS for a bit more.
