Hi, my m8 is looking for a new pc.

Basically he has narrowed it down to two choices from a certain popular retailer, the last option is the CPU.

What would be better the amd X2 cpu in the title, or an intel duo core?

If so what duo core would he need that would be as good as the amd chip in the title.

What do you mean by the last option is the CPU?

Anyway the Intel Core 2 Duo 4300 would be about par, slightly better than the AMD 4000+.

If he`s going to be doing any overclocking defiently go Core 2 Duo.

sorry dont want to hijack but anyone know the equivilent of the x2 4600+ in C2D terms? got my x2 oc'd to 2.8

Approximately an E6400 if memory serves but the chances are good that the Core2Duo would overclock further anyway, not least in percentage terms from the initial clock speed. :)
