The CAPS are integrated into the latest drivers right? Is there a need to bother with 12.7 CAP 3 if you don't have the games it affects, as all previous CAPS will be in the latest driver 12.8?

If you have existing caps installed uninstall them first, restart, then install the new caps.

I don't understand. I thought CAP's existed so they could provide a quick fix in-between drivers. When newer drivers are released these include the profiles from previous CAP's?

You use the latest CAPs with the latest drivers.

Just installed these and got the horrible screen tearing/flickering on Aero desktop that I had a couple of revisions ago

Have you fixed the tearing? I get this with a single 7970 too. Tried 12.9 to no avail.
