I'm used to nVidia based boards, and going to nVidia for motherboard drivers rather than the board manufacturer.

Typically nVidia has more up to date drivers.

I've got a new Asus board that's AMD based on it's way to me. So I'm trying to collect stuff together for a fresh install.

I've got the drivers from Asus's site, however I thought I'd go looking at AMDs site in case there were more up to date ones. Can't find any at all.

Am I missing something, or is it the case that AMD don't distribute them the same way nVidia do, and it'll have to be the board manufacturer that I get em from?

Don't know if this helps? If not you'll just have to get them from the respective company's site.

Thanks Jak, but it doesn't. The board is relatively new, and the latest date on those drivers is 2004. I did end up at the same page myself when I looked.

I'm pretty sure it's the case that board manufacturers have the drivers now, and not AMD - although I'm sure AMD develop them.

I just want to be sure, because in the past I've found a few driver sites are completely separate from the main manufacturers site.

You're probably best off checking the manufacturers support site for your motherboard, they should have all necessary drivers on there.
