Hey people im after a new mobo for my system.

currently im running an Abit AN7 socket A system with AMD xp2800+ and a geforce 6800 and 2x512mb crucial balistix ram.

im starting to have reliability problems wich i think are being caused by the mobo.

anyway i have a spare AMD 939 opty 146 thats 3ghz capable i would like to replace the mobo for a 939 system but it needs to have an agp slot and be capeble or reaching neer the 3ghz mark.

can any1 remember what was a good mobo that far back?

thanks for the advice if any1 can remember that far back :)

The MSI Neo 2 was prolly one of the better socket 939 AGP boards.
Finding one may be hard.

See here.
Very tweakable and masses of BIOS's to choose from.

If memory serves, the Via chipset mobos were slightly quicker than the NF3 ones, but did not OC so well. I would have thought to get to around 3GHz with the 146 you would need a MSI K8N Neo2 plat or a DFI NF3 Ultra.

thanks for all the help :)

havent bought anything yet but im goingto looking for 1 of these 3 boards

MSI K8N Neo2
DFI NF3 Ultra
Abit AV8

would prefer the DFI one as i have an NF4 SLI-DR in my other rig and tis nice :)
