This is a known issue. I think there is a big thread about this over at overclock.net.
Unfortunately I have an external temperature gauge so I can't really help here.
do you know of any apps that do work?
OCCT also refuses to show temps

response in thread said:As to the OP, Speedfan will still read your CPU socket temp and you can use that. Socket temp is generally a few degrees above core temps. I just try to stay below 55 to 60C.

should it still show up as an X4 even though only 3 cores are enabled?
all i have done is unlocked the extra core and upped multi to x19, i did try to go for 4GHz before i unlocked any cores and that wasnt stable at all. the lack of ability to monitor temps well scare me from doing an overnight prime95 run though, normally i use OCCT as that will stop when it gets to a preset temp, but that refuses to load once the chip is unlocked.

temps aint the issue, its running at 55-57c in prime now and even lower with everests stability test, so not sure why it wont hit 4GHz, but 3.9GHz Tri seems to be very stable![]()
If you're over 55 celcius, temps may be an issue. Get the temps lower and it might clock higher without increasing voltage.
but the high temps could offer an explanation as to why i was getting issues in some games.sorry to reserect this again, but when it says 1.4v is the max, does this mean it is the max, or would going over it a little be ok?
thing is, like i said im stuck at 3.9GHz and wondered if maybe it just needs a little vcore bump, but i have gone up to 1.4v already.
