There may be more room at the top end but with the stock cooler I wouldn't want to push anymore than 1.4v for long term use.

no i wont be, but should be ordering a H70 next week (hopfully) as the Antec is still out of stock :( but was just wondering why it wont go to the 4GHz.

have left prime95 running whilst im at work on 3.8GHz DC see how that goes, when i left this morning it was averaging 52-55 and maxing at 57, which is too high, i got it stable with tri-core 3.9GHz but temps were going to the 70-72 whilst priming so dropped back to stock whilst i setup my raid and did a fresh install. now trying to get DC stable until cooler is here, then in theory its a case of unlock core 2 and maybe bump up the vcore (its on 1.375v at 3.8GHz)
