Same price as the 955BE which overclocks better, higher and out-performs it.

For all of you who do not know why you would buy this over the 950 listen up..


95W goodness so it will work on more boards!

100mhz faster out of the box for those who may not want to over clock

Less heat generate compared to 955BE

Overclocks just as well provided you know how to tinker with the system clocks


All in all a true overclockers chip rather than an "make it easy" chip.

Terrible chip. Go for a 955BE or Athlon II X4 640 at £74.99 if your on a tight budget. This should really be priced in between the above two.

Agree that not all boards can take 125W CPUs so has a place in the market but pricing doesn't really make it a viable option for the majority.

Agreed with everyone else. L3 cache is more important than 100MHz, even in games.

Then again I never saw the point of the Phenom II 8xx processors.
