AMD Radeon 12.2 Video Card Drivers Now Available

Am lost lol I download from amd site shouldn't that be official. Sorry if this dumb question am new to pc gaming and understand drivers. :o

Part of my post got cut off for some reason.

It meant to say: "The 8.96s drivers have been out for a good few weeks now, available only through unofficial channels though.".

Is anyone using these with afterburner and if so any problems? I tried the 12.2 previews but for some reason every time I loaded up CCC it reset my fan profiles. I'm guessing these will be the same but just wondering

These drivers are a load of balls, I just did a clean install and thought there was something wrong with my system, 3dmark gets stuck at please wait and hangs the entire system and the overdrive tab vanishes when enabling it.

Nice to see nothing has changed since the days of the 9800 series... My first ATI card in about a decade.

Just trying now.....

Edit - No joy still the same. Looks like I'm going to have to go for a re-install. Nice one AMD...

Cheers

Did you try booting to safe mode , go to device manager and remove the card , let windows detect it again (scan for hardware) and let it dload the default windows ati driver , then boot to normal windows and try installing cats you want .......

BTW doing clean sweap on ALL ATI drivers and software is a bad idea IMO - caused me lots of probs with installing service packs etc for Windoze.

Thankfully ive never had any problems with ATI drivers, going back to the 1900XT all the way to my current setup, would love to know what causes these issues ?

Nope, they have lower minimums and are not WHQL drivers.

WHQL means nothing as preview drivers are often more stable than WHQL ones.

I don't see where you pulled the minimum figures from, source?
