**AMD Radeon 390X Graphics Card WCE**

Well As you can see I skim read this forum far too often. Tbh I haven't managed to stay in a thread in this subsection for this long for a long time. It normally turns into the humbug Vs greg show and i leave.

Hugs R9-290s. *Gets 3rd degree burns*

Looks at pics of RMAed GTX970s. *Remembers stutter at 4K*

Now when is AMD going to ship the 390X (and new drivers) so we can do some 1:1 testing with the upcoming launch of the Titan-X?

This isn't good for my health :D

That's very harsh and it is normally Greg Vs AMD users in general :p

The Titan X is not going to be cheap, even £800 isn't cheap.

You're saying a 12gb card will be the best solution for 1080p?

Come on Mal, use your brain mate.

what did i say yesterday.........anything over 4gb is ok, you'll get 12gb so you've got no choice....unless you want to wait for less RAM

Now 800 quid isn't cheap either, but it's cheaper than 1300 or 1000 that they usually charge..

what is important is it's a very powerful single card, that's priced way too high, but it is still perfect for 1080p

970 SLI is not, because SLI has issues that i cant resolve..... it is no good for rendering 3D graphics software, it defaults to one card only for rendering and a single 970 isn't anywhere near powerful enough to render a scene in full HD, it is as slow as hell.........

if you illustrate something like Madam Whiplash, it'll take 3 mins to render her........mind you, it looks pretty damned good when it's done

we want freesync vs gsync 144hz 1440p titan vs 390x battle of the fanboys

Then we wait a few months and we might get the 380x vs 980 battle :)

so basically it's this ;)

why do you need this card right now ?......... because there is no need to buy this card right now rather than in June

we are only caught up in the hype, nothing else, dont let this cloud you're judgement

1......... you have no choice, you'll get 12gb RAM
2......... it will probably be too expensive
3......... it'll be outgunned in june
4..........it should be reliable
5..........it will have good Driver support ( should do)

why do you need this card right now ?..........and it all boils down to this, because there is no need to buy this card right now rather than in June

you are only caught up in the hype, nothing else

Titan-X 12GB @ £900
Early Jun: 390X 8GB @ £550
3 Weeks later: 980TI 6GB @ £650

You know it ain't funny when you gotta talk about yo moneyyy :D

I was intent on getting the Titan X but the 390X talk is interesting.

I just wish AMD brought more to the table than pure horsepower, everything they do bring seems to be a bit gimmicky eg. Trueaudio, Tressfx.
None of the games I play have these :(

Nvidia on the other hand, well I do like gameworks and the software seems so much friendlier to use.
