I reckon it will be about 5%-7.5% slower.

R290X = 649 euros = £550

Might have to place a pre-order for the R9 290X in that case. Although I do wish the cards weren't the reference design.

AIB cards with better coolers should appear about 4-6 weeks later apparently.

Seriously, both 290 and 290X need £100 dropped on the price if those prices are correct.

If they're faster and cheaper than Nvidia counter parts, they don't. If they don't sell then they'll drop in price soon enough anyway.

I'd like lower prices of course. But if they're faster and cheaper they don't need to. The 290X assuming is roughly equal to or faster than titan will be £250 cheaper.
