AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

Seem the R9 290x may have raised its firestrike head.

I was expecting the R9 290X to do better on the Ice Storm and Cloud Gate scores.
 
Not demanding, favours Nvidia's gpu boost. Same old.

Not long ago Kaap you said a 290x would not even beat a 780. :D

Going on the figures above most non ref GTX 780s will beat it as they also beat my Titan @stock.:D

If you look more closely at the results above it is not a bad one for the R9 290X. The real question is what is the overclocking headroom.
 
If this ends up around £500 I guess I'm switching from Nvidia if its much above that then hell no. AMD really need to price this aggressively.

If this is the pre-order edition including Bf4+premium its not going to be cheap. If you wait for the retail card launch (October 15th?) it will be about £450-£500.

How have AMD not decided on their pricing when launch is less than two weeks away :confused:

Issues with yields? (I wouldn't have thought since it is still 28nm)
