AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

That was before the 780 had launched though bud, most then sold their Titan's and either bought one or two 780's as the performance is only -5%.

I hear you but people will still order it. It comes with BF4 and Premium i think. That's worth £100 if you buy via origin, though i appreciate you can pick it up cheaper elsewhere.

If it was me id wait but many people will still pre-order.

I suppose we can take an educated guess if we use the leaked RRP from the US, which is $599. Then you add VAT, the launch price here will be £450 - £500 for the GPU. That is if retailers stick with RRP..

The GPU with BF4 bundle prob £50 more. So looking at £500 - £550 for the BF4 bundle edition. A lot of money tbh, GTX 780's are creeping down to £450 already. I'm not sure which card is better value tbh, 780's overclock.. A lot..

Lets hope so, Could we even see it around the £350-400 price point!

We could but its not looking likely. Gibbo knows a whole lot more than us about this and he's estimating over £400 and likely around £500. Even as the BF4 edition is likely a little more it's unlikely any of these will be under £400.

... right now the R290X BF4 edition could be priced anywhere between £400 - £650. ...

My money is on ~£500. Gibbo has also said the performance is around 780 levels and thus similar pricing is likely (CBA to dig out the quote tho :p ).

Who would pay a deposit for something that they or the retailer do not know the final price for ? Its a bit mad if you ask me and as the sale of goods act is very sceptical about deposits it could be a nightmare if you had to argue it legally.

Sorry AMD this launch is a joke.

Seem the R9 290x may have raised its firestrike head.

If this si anything to go by im assuming this is stock clocks:

To put that score in perspective, I ran my Titan at 1000Mhz and 1251Mhz memory and scored this.

As you can see 9935 GFX Score for me, compared to the 290X of 10880 ish (I think). This 290X is looking like a stormer of a card :)

Just for my lack of knowledge on memory clocks, I ran it at 1000Mhz and stock memory and scored ~400 points less.

The 290X is looking good.
