Ok so I bought an AMD 64 x2 5000+ 'black edition and I'm very pleased with it so far. Currently running at 3ghz (stock = 2.6ghz) with a 15x multiplier. CPU idling at just 19 degrees celsius with air cooling only!!

I want to take it further but I've run into a brick wall. My motherboard isn't the greatest, its an ASUS M2N4-SLi. The BIOS is generally quite functional for overclocking except for in one particular area. I can't change the Vcore setting any higher than 1.325v, the only other options are lower.

I'm going to need to up the voltage to 1.4v if I want to get this chip running at 3.2-3.3ghz. :/

Are there any programs that ASUS have released that let you modify the Vcore or can anyone think of any other method? Altering the FSB doesn't automatically up the voltage which is what someone suggested so thats out.

Thanks folks o7
