AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

I see Asrock are trying to one-up Gigabyte's latest silly phrase.

"Fast/Mysterious/Unbeatable" vs "Team Up. Fight On"

Who wins the "most daft" crown?

(Asus's wall of text is excluded)

In which case, the system parts I quoted earlier are more than enough. Heck, you could even buy a GTX 1660 Ti and still be around the £550 total mark. :)
very good point!

get the cpu\mobo\
Biostar and ASRock have done that .

Though wait for the real big boy boards, MSI and Aorus , (Asus is just like the former so they might be back on track finally... With a price tag to match )

Push Gigabyte Gaming Models as @Journey mentioned , not just VRM (still handle 9700k fine but won't do AVX on it ) but audio and design is better .

I have come to the following conclusion that my current budget of 550 will not do for the I7 9700k as I can get ran and processor but not enough funds for a decent mobo to run it all so I should either drop to a I5 9600k or go down the AMD route and 2700x as a decent mobo seems so much more cheaper.

Thanks to everyone that has replied

AMD fanboys are funny why don't you just wait and see instead of speculating all the time your as bad as them people guessing about what's going to happen in Game Of Thrones.

I think it's called a hobby and people like to chat about things that they are interested in with other people who share the same interest. Does not harm.

What is wrong with speculating? Every invention in the history of mankind had to be speculated before hand. Some of the worlds greatest minds had to speculate, that's how we learn. Einstein speculated that E=mc2 40 years before it could be proven. Professor Higgs speculated the existance of the Higgs boson 47 years before it could be proven. Hawking speculated groundbraking physics in the field of black holes.

Speculating about future events relating to subjects that we're interested in and hearing other peoples views is very fascinating indeed to some people. I've kept up to date with this thread for the last 250 pages in anticipation of the upcoming Ryzen processor because it's something I'm very interested in. What's wrong with that?

No harm in chatting about what you hope Zen 2 will be but comparing that to some of works of the greatest Physicists of the last 100 years is rather fanciful.
Scientific theories are a whole other ball game and require great intelligence whereas guessing as to the IPC, clock speed and price of a CPU range is 1st grade by comparison.

Not necessarily true. They may come as simple nightdreams of exactly any person.
Yes, the basic concept can come in an instant. To turn that into a theory that has scientific meaning and a chance of being validated is hardly similar to merely guessing about certain parameters of a yet to be released consumer item.

That biostar gpu is hideous, a gun design lol.

I really don't get the designs of some of these companies. They are selling very expensive electronics and design them to appeal to 12 year old boys. Who do they think is buying this stuff? They need to take a leaf out of Marvel's book (TV series) and realise there is now an adult audience for their product.

Adult is subjective, plenty of manbabies out there. Same kind of people that need the biggest car or tv.

One word three letters. RGB. Most people buying over the top RGB for their rigs are "adults"

The boost in PC gaming uptake is coming from that demographic.
should have seen the change PC World/Currys made with PUBG rolling out and then Fortnite ...
