I have been in the US for approx 6 months now... and one of the things I miss most from the UK is the proper chocolate and sweets. I don't know if it's just me but the chocolate and candy here are just not nice.

Are there any people out there who actually like any American candy etc and if so what do you like? I'd swap anytime for a decent bar of proper Cadbury or a Bounty or.. ::mouth waters:: a Dime :p

/homesick

omfg you dont even have Cadbury over there  !!!

*faints a little*

what do they have instead of Cadbury then?

They have Cadbury but it's not proper Cadbury. It's made by Hershey and tastes like crap :(

Think it's Hershy's over there?

Anyhoo my mum and sister from their respective trips brought some back.

Sampled one bit of each and chucked the rest :o

They dont even call Mars bars, Mars Bars. They have that name Three Muskateers, ruins the favour :D

When I was out there I loved their sour skittles compared to our sour skittles, theyre way more sour.

P.S. To the post above they have Hershies or something, they taste like cardboard

Where?? Most international sellers like Britishcornershop.com and lifeslittleluxuries.com and those off ebay have excessive shipping..... I miss the food, but not willing to pay £30 shipping!!

Then you are lucky not to live in the backwaters of Minnesota/North Dakota

UK chocolate + flat rate mailing box = :D:D:D :p

I don't find Hershey's to be that bad, although obviously it's still worse than Cadbury's. Fruit loops and Lucky Charms etc are disgusting; the fluorescent colours alone are enough to put me right off. Peanut butter and almond M&M’s are awesome :D

my uncle moved to australia and he says the chocolate over there is horrible its like a waxy chocolate and if you want a cream egg or a double decker bar they cost around £1.50

Drools! Reeces Peanut Butter cups/pieces. Anything with peanut butter in it!, oh and Butterfingers!
