how on earth can america and the uk go on about human rights to countrys such as iran when they are the biggest human rights abuserss in the world?
i am obviously talking about the wikileaks document that was published today.
america and uk invade another country, force regime change on it, murder their people, imprison thousands upon thousands of iraqi people into secret prisons and dungeons, steal the country's resources and they talk about how iran is a threat to world peace.

I almost laughed when I read that. When America or the UK start forcibly aborting the babies of woman who are eight month's pregnant (China), chopping the hands off of thieves who steel from sweet shops and who have no previous criminal record* (Iran) or sending dissidents and three generations of their family to gulags for buying food during a famine (North Korea). Then maybe I won't laugh.
*After re-reading the article I based the highlighted statement on, I realise that it doesn't mention the thief's criminal history.

Can you tell me why you believe all this? I'm not saying you should or shouldn't, just interested to know why you do.
That's the same with anything, especially in law. Lawyer's do not know what happened but they present arguments and rely on their own judgement to determine what happened. They then present this to a jury, or judges, or whatever scenario we're in, and they determine the fate of the investigation. According to you, we shouldn't bother with any sort of trial/tribunal/investigation. If something happens, it happens. There's no point in trying to find blame because it's futile as we'll never be able to do such.
I'm debating the need of a full open investigation by a legal entity permitted to do such but according to your logic that's a pointless exercise because they won't know the exact knowledge of what happened...

No I don't. However the premise for war was to make peoples lives better not worse or the same.
If you want to claim the moral high ground, expect to have your credentials examined and questioned on a regular basis. That's exactly what's happened in this instance and not for the first time the allegations hold some water. If the yanks (or brits) don't like it they should maybe learn to live by what they preach.
