Hi All
I need to know if my evga 7900GT CO is messed up.
I installed the XTreme-G 84.37.v2 and have a zalman vf-900 keeping my gpu at 40c at idle. When i try to o/c my card using the nvidia tab that comes with the xtreme drivers(i also installed coolbits even though the xtremes had the tab to o/c) i click on the option detect the optimal frquencies. The system starts but 1/4 way the screen jams and i cant do anything and when i try to move my mouse, my screen goes black and comes back then goes black etc,.....DOes this mean my card doesnt overclock? When i reboot i have no problems coming to desktop.
Is it possible coolbits is corrupt with those drivers?
Any ideas?
HAve others used this option to see how hight their cards go?
Thanks

What temps have you got. Run a 3d app for a while then report what temps your getting. Possible vf900 not seated properly. You did put some AS5 on the core first??

Hi Gary
My temps are at 40c(was 50 before the zalman) when i run the 3d software at 1280x1024 it reaches approx 50-60 fps and temps are around 50c. But for some strange reason, when my freqencies are stock, i click on "detect the optimal frquencies" the computer hangs and my screen goes black comes back, goes black etc... i cant do anything so i have to just reboot.
Any ideas? How does one know if the card is RMA?
Thanks
