I found this very moving article on the BBC website tonight, and thought I'd share the link:

Yeah, the sentence was a shock for me too. Unbelievable that he could get away with such a light sentence for such a crime

why are we still messing about in other countrys changing there laws and stuff while our own laws are so ****** up.

i find it ridiculous that the maximum sentence for causing death by dangerous driving whilst drunk is only 2 years. horrific

If it was actually treated as manslaughter with an accessory the sentences would make sense. However as it stands it's a seperate offence entirely.
