not really, id blame the airport for loosing it really. although i agree its odd only having one copy, still doesnt shift the blame from BA in my mind.

True, but things get stolen, dropped and hardware fails... Any number of things could have fried his one and only copy...

Surely no-one is stupid enough to only have one copy of something as important as an album. Must have it backed up to HDD or other media surely. Surely?!

One of our customers was getting out of a taxi once and as he got out a guy snatched his laptop and ran off with it. Our customer gave hot chase, and in the end the thief turned around and faced him off!

So he bought his own stolen laptop off the guy within a minute or two of it being stolen, for £50, and then went into the office and claimed it as expenses

I love these threads. I bet every single poster replying with "It's his fault for not having a backup" have all got "precious" data not backed up anywhere except on their laptop/workstation.
