Android (s6) App Install pop-ups

Hey, Just seeing if anyone is getting this issue.

Recently I've started getting "unknown source" installation requests on my s6 pop up on my screen for (Instagram, Facebook, Kakaotalk etc).

They pop up whenever, any app and completely random.

I've no idea why they're popping up and my S6's virus package doesn't detect anything.

Any idea of how to get rid of them?

I've not got any suspect apps on my list or installed anything from an unknown source so I really have no clue why these irritating popups occur.

Googling doesn't seem to resolve this so I'm seeing if anyone else has a solution,

I had this when I installed kingroot. Didn't stop after I uninstalled it so I did a factory reset and I've not had in since

Does it load the play store?

Nope, It randomly tries to Ask me to install Facebook, kakao talk, instagram and few other apps. It's got to the point where it was doing it every 10-20 seconds.

I've removed an APK that was in my download folder (no idea why there was an apk there) that had a dodgy name, Not had any issues so far so hopefully it's fixed.

It's been irritating me for a few weeks!

Mine was loading the play store but also prompting to install random games. Like I'd downloaded the apk. Didn't let it go on for long and factory reset

Go through the list of installed apps in settings (in the downloaded tab) and remove anything that doesn't look familiar. Deleting the apk wouldn't have done anything if it had been installed already.

are you using the factory charger? happened once on a htc it would randomly open apps while charging.

Yep, I don't think the charger would cause apps to open.

I think I've got a bug/malware somehwere that's prompting me to install apps (fake ones) that are already installed.

might have to factory reset :<, Will all my stuff still be there if I do this or does it wipe all data?

As the name suggests, it resets it to factory condition (although you won't lose any OS updates).
