I assure you this is the last in a string of annoying questions, but, i have discovered that the notebook i just ordered has only got a DVI-D output. I was kind of hoping to be able to plug it into my overly huge 21" crt monitor for watching tv/dvds etc, which has a vga cable. Now I know DVI-D is digital only, and I should have looked for DVI-I, but meh. Does there exist anywhere some kind of DVI-D to VGA adaptor, or are they so expensive (i assume some kind of D-A conversion must take place) that dumping the CRT and buying a large DVI supporting TFT would be more economical? Anyways, of anyone knows of the existance of such an adaptor, please let me know.

Yes that looks like it might do the trick if you have a female DVI-D head on your laptop. I'd double check with whoever you buy the cable from first tho.
I think there is a consumer rule where you're allowed to return goods if they do not work to how is expected?
SiriusB, as I understand most graphics cards do DVI-I which sends digital and analog signals and this is why you can use an analog 15 pin head. The signal is not converted with your adapters, it is chosen instead.
