another attempt

continuing from here ive now attemted these 2. not quite what i was after, it was later in the evening this time and didnt get a chance to get many good ones, not that these are good anyway lol

all images are taken from the camera, havent been through photoshop

The first one gives a really good sense of scale, it's sharp and I like the exposure but it just doesn't excite me I'm afraid. Might be the composition but then you wouldn't get the same effect if you changed it.

The second one is a nice sunset, but the fence in the foreground is really off-putting, it contrasts with the black of the hedge just enough to draw my eye to it, which should be looking at the sun etc. I would either try and make the whole of the hedge black (might be too much of it in the foreground in this case) or make the fence contrast more with the hedge. I'd also clone out the vertical vapour trail on the right hand side.

Those are just niggly things though. Other than that, nice shots.

I like the first one, the criticism I have is that the sky behind it is a bit boring and flat but there's not a lot you can do about that. Great shot. I wondered what it would look like with the contrast upped, sharpened a bit and converted to monochrome so I had a go... I hope you don't mind!

I only spent about 5 minutes on it but it's another way to look at it.

You've caught the sky well in the second one. Good stuff, keep it up.

cheers scuzi, i had thought about a greyscale version of the tower but i thought i'd post them up as originals to see what the feedback was rather than start editing etc.

the monotone does look well, i agree that the sky is boring but i wasnt looking at capturing the background... more the tower tbh.

the second one i didnt think you gys would like but i posted it anyway. i personally like it. Panzer i too agree that the fence gets in the way, i have a tft so its hard to tell what the origianl actually looks like
