Currently have a Samsung UE40J5100AK in the bedroom and compared to my main TV which is 4K the picture on the Samsung does not compare well nor for that matter does do well against a 32" Samsung. Colours are not particularly sharp. So looking to buy something around the 43" which is about as much space as I have. Does not need to be smart as I tend to use Chromecast but 4K is a must. Would like any suggestions to be sold in the high street to enable me to look before buying probably elsewhere.
I think around £500 is all I would wish to spend but might push it a little further.

Hi Kronos
4k or UHD,40/42" too small and will you be viewing the Television straight on/centre ?

I won't say go out and buy the Television that I have but I can give you the name and model number and the colour settings that I use for it so you can judge it for yourself if you want.

will take you about Ten minutes to adjust from the shops Television" shop display " settings.

Definitely UHD and as I am looking for suggestions name and model number would be useful.

I just bought a 43" lg 750v. I got john lewis to price match some other shop so i got it for £649 as its £699.

Its an absolute cracker. I think the 2nd best 43inch you can buy. With the best being a 40" 9 series samsung for £1300. 3 inches smaller and double the price.

There are cheaper sets but they dont have the features or picture quality of this set.

Its not 10bit however it is 8 bit plus fcr or something so its better than standard 8 bit only.

Its also a glass panel. Cheaper sets are plastic. So its heavier but the build quality and picture are fantastic.

The 3 sets in my home are now.

55" sony w809c
50" panasonic gt50
43" lg uh750v

All of them top end sets. I only just got the lg today. So i can do a more thorough review in a couple of weeks but so far ive been overly impressed

Will have a look at this cheers.

I am going to wander around Edinburgh and have a look at my shortlist.
SAMSUNG UE43KU6400
SAMSUNG UE43KU6500
SAMSUNG UE43KU6000
SONY BRAVIA KD43X8305C
Sony Bravia 43WD756BU
LG 43UH661V

All mine are wall mounted and you certainly cannot move the feet on the ones that had two feet. I think they position where they are for stability.
