For the second time this week i have had an car incident. On monday I was rear ended by someone. I have got their details and my insurance is sorting it out. But this morning I wokeup and went to my car to find that someone had banged into the side of my car and scrapped along it and driven off overnight.
I only have TPF&T insurance so can't get insurance to pay for the repair of this as i don't know who has caused this damage. The front driver side wing is dented and needs replacing as does the rear wing. The doors can be fixed and resprayed. The wing mirror also needs replacing. :(
Do i have to inform my insurance as will this incident/damage affect my car value, as the car will probably be writenoff as a drivable writeoff from the rear shunt as the floor of the car where the spare wheel is kept is bent in, as well as needing a new bumper and the boot lid being repaired. As the lady from the my insurance company said that the other insurance party company may want to inspect my car?

Thanks in advance guys.

I had to park the car on the main busy street on single yellow lines of my street as ther were no parking places on my street or the streets next to it. I have walked along the street and streets near to see if i could see any cars with scrapes with met green paint (my car colour) but no luck :(

What car is it?

If it'w worth <£1500 then I am quite sure it will be written off. Cost to repair a rear end incident like yours is around £1500.

will this second incident bring the value of my car down when it comes to paying out if it is written off?
My car is a Mitsubishi carisma 1.6 glxi 1998/R

The main damage was done in the first incident then, I would not worry about anything minor since then.

The car would have been a writeoff anyway by the sounds of it. Its unfortunate if they have not yet inspected it. It is disputed at all, if not then dont worry about it.

No it wont affect the payout. These things are quite standard, if they try to devalue based on the new damage just point out that was done after the accident and is not relevant. Any decent insurance company would be capable of arguing the same on your behalf

I wouldnt bother (personally) unless it became an issue, but thats just me, you should do really. It'll probably say something to that effect in the t&c, all incidents to be reported regardless of any desire to claim, except it'll be in lawyerish

The damage is not minor from the 2nd incident. The front and rear side body panels on the drivers side need replacing at the minimum. Need another door mirror unit, its an electric heated one. The entire drivers side needs respraying. but i've made temporarily running repairs, pulled out the front wing panel so it doesn't affect/impede opening the drivers door and patched up the wing mirror aso i can still drive the car. Gonna be a expensive repair if the car is not writtenoff from the first accident (rearend shunt) :(
