Another crazy thought enters my head...

I just had a basic 1.4 LS and that handled rather well.

It was your first car, of course it handled well.

I thought my Xantia was a handling demon. On reflection, it... really wasnt :p

Hmm a trip to Japan has just been arranged so think this has gone out the window.

Still, 8 weeks time two weeks in the land of the rising sun :)

seems that the general concensus is that the astras are dogs. i had one as a courtesy car once whilst mine was in for servicing. it was frustrating to drive. gearbox, steering, pedal lay out all felt half-arsed.

there is no point asking us though. get to a dealer and drive one for yourself. see what YOU think as its you buying it lol

It would be interesting to see how good the handling is on the gsi astra, i have (well did) a hire, its only a 1.4, but apart from it being damn slow, the chassis is excellent, very much on a par with the current focus imo, unfortunately it got broken into, now i have a 307 HDI, can anyone say sea sickness!

In the interim period i did have a KA best little car fun i have since a mini.
