I think Gibbo has some compromising pictures of the senior management at ATI and Nvidia.

I can't think how else he is managing to knock out some of these deals.

Also some good news, the 5830's are full retail so come in a bigger box and the 5850's are a newer design that is now only 8.5" long which means they will fit in all cases.

5850 here I come!

Yes the 5850 is smaller than the 5830, amazing, clearly a new design.

Other things I've noticed, both cards require 2x 6pin PCI-E connectors (adapters are supplied)

Also the cards are only setup for dual Crossfire, tri/quad is not possible.

I don't suppose there's any chance of knowing the oc potential of these before 6pm is there?

Nope, I've had 600 arrive and I've sold 350 units so far, chances are when word gets out this price is only valid until 6pm we may sell out. Its a crazy price for what is two stunning cards.

You have to remember at this price point there is nothing that comes close, this is a clear victory for Sapphire/ATI.

5830 is 9.5" long

1 hours gaming on CoH maxed out at 1920 x 1080.

Fan at 50%, highest temp 61C.

Just to add fan is not really audible at 50% either.

Good feedback, the cooler design does look very good and its good to hear that the card remains quiet even under gaming.

For those that have opened their boxes, what's inside? Mine feels very light and this is compared to what I've been reading about how heavy the 5850's are. I know the new design makes it smaller, but lighter?

Yes they are far lighter.

They come with driver CD, couple of power adapters and DVI dongle.

The 5830 is a full retail, but Sapphire still don't supply crossfire bridges. The 5850 is a Lite and again no crossfire bridges.

At no point have we stated these cards do have bridges either.
