Woohoo, just bought a 5850. Can't wait for it to come. Have to wait a month and a half before I head back home to Ireland before I can build my computer. It'll just be staring at me in the corner of the room. :(

edit. Oh what is the difference between the Extreme and Black Edition?

5850 all the way mate - faster card (stock and OC'ed) for some 30 squids less; what's not to like?*

They have arrived bang on time, good work Sapphire!

All backorders will be shipped today and I shall honor this special pricing until 6pm today, so "GET YOUR ORDERS IN"

Also some good news, the 5830's are full retail so come in a bigger box and the 5850's are a newer design that is now only 8.5" long which means they will fit in all cases. :)

Yes the 5850 is smaller than the 5830, amazing, clearly a new design.

Other things I've noticed, both cards require 2x 6pin PCI-E connectors (adapters are supplied)

Also the cards are only setup for dual Crossfire, tri/quad is not possible.

Nope, I've had 600 arrive and I've sold 350 units so far, chances are when word gets out this price is only valid until 6pm we may sell out. Its a crazy price for what is two stunning cards.

You have to remember at this price point there is nothing that comes close, this is a clear victory for Sapphire/ATI.
 
Gibbo,any chance if you can tell me if these are shorter than the OCUK's MSI 5850's? Got one at the mo, want to set up a crossfire, but the space is a bit limited on the 2nd PCIE slot, can you see any probs crossfiring with the MSI 5850?

Also is a crossfire cable included with the Sapphire, as MSI don't include one?
