Another EBay Dispute Query..

I won an item via buy it now at the beginning of June. Nothing received so sent 3 emails requesting delivery information.

Seller said item was sent via CityLink, was uncollected & returned to him. He now wants me to pay the postage again for the item to be re-sent.

I escalated this via Paypal dispute, as I had not had any notification/card of attempted delivery from CityLink, & am not willing to pay the postage again.

He has responded by sending me a link for a CityLink attempted delivery, it states delivery was attempted twice. However on one of the attempted dates I was at home on a day off & did not leave the house, so I know for a fact that delivery was not attempted. Also as said NO attempted delivery chit was left at any time.

Now he is a PowerSeller with very good feedback, so I don't think he is trying it on. But then again neither am I!!

What do I do next? As he is refusing to refund or re-send without the extra postage payment? Who does responsibility fall to here :confused:

First i would phone citylink and ask them if they have any packages for you. Maybe they do?

I would then tell the seller that i am going to come and collect the item as the postal system obviously isnt working, and you need the item urgently. Ask him for a time which is convinient for him and be done with it.

I would then leave positive feedback and forget all about it.
 
Since it is in dispute, wait for the outcome. As per Citylink, they are well known for making deliveries when it wasnt actually made.

Unfortunately if they did actually try to deliver it, regardless of whether they actually came to the door or not, your dispute is with Citylink, not with the ebay person.

Nope, cant be bothered and they tend to employ people who dont have a clue about the local area and rely on A-Z instead...erm what about Navigation?

I have had a number of problems,claiming they cannot find address. I have thing delivered to my business address and every other compnay finds me ok. there is only one village with this name in my county and only one road named as mine is in the county too. sorry off topic a little, take it up with City link first :)
