Another ebay thread. case awareded in buyers favour. I really have no idea how!

This thread reminds me that ebay is not worth when selling certain items. I still use it when buying/selling games etc and never had any issues and I've got over 240 positive feedbacks now.

I'm pushing 700 now, having been a member for 9 years.

I have had difficulties maybe half a dozen times, and only once lost money (£25), when I got scammed.

This is why recorded delivery isn't the bullet-proof option that a lot of people seem to think it is. I was reading a thread somewhere of someone who sold an iphone. The buyer sent them an email saying that everything was in the box.... apart from the iphone.

ebay can be dangerous at times

let's say for example I bought an iPhone 4 off an ebay seller. Pay for it via paypal and then say they only sent the box and not the phone (like mentioned above). What can anyone do apart from refund me the money  although I'd expect the seller to turn up at my house with a load of big mates :D

ok a little up date

ebay asked the buyer to post the item back and submit tracking information by the 24th of september. the buyer hasnt but the case is still open. what shall i do now?

Don't worry, you'll win as soon as someone takes a look at the case.

Really annoys me stories like this

ebay in principal is great but there are so many people out there playing the system and know how to do it!

It puts so much pressure on the sellers now to basically prove your innocence.

agreed. my cousin has to fax a proof of postage for itmes to paypal/ebay but still they dont care

If the weight is on the receipt you could use that as solid evidence, as long as you weigh the package before opening it and having proof that you've done this, a photograph or vid footage, there is no way they could dispute it.
