Trying not to buy another X1900XT with a crossfire mobo until the drivers are released which dont require a mastercard ( also I have the money but cant afford it lol)

Wow, really liking the prices on those Powercolor GTO's, thats ridiculous compared to the other GTO's on the page, how come such a price difference???!

Was looking at getting a 7600GT, but for almost £100 cheaper, the GTO looks very tempting, and I could get something else a bit later in the year. Think I'm going to order it, once I've checked some reviews (again..)

Shame about the usual OCUK shipping charges, but I guess I can live with it.

Anyone know if they unlock? Are the R430 or R480 cores (I guess the former for the cheaper 12 pipe versions, they don't have the PCI-E power connector)?

Its what I am looking on the net for now, hoping they will, but I would imagine they arent, still, suppose they are good value.

Looking at BF2 performance its not too great, but it will be better than nothing, and I guess I could sell it on if its not that great.

Looks from a recent review these are R430 cores (dont hold me to that though), so what does that mean in terms of overclocking and the possibility to unlock to 16 pipes?

Hope its OK to link to this review:

EDIT, actually thats for the 128Mb version, there is a good review on XbitLabs for the 256Mb version (which is GDDR3 490Mhz memory)

OK, sorry to keep posting, but I want to order tonight, does the Powercolor X800GTO 256Mb version require an external power adaptor? From the pics I dont think it does but would prefer to know now rather than when it arrives.

EDIT:

Dont think it does, have ordered it anyway, will be a nice upgrade from my 9500 Pro.

Weren't the recent deals on the x1900's supposed to be 'never to be repeated'?
Couple of them on this week only seem very similar prices to the unrepeatable offer of recent times

So you consider £20-£30 to be close?

The Powercolor X1900 XT was done at £239+VAT on the very special offer, its now a lot more even when on special.............

The Powercolor XT-X was approx £265 +VAT and its now on special offer at £299 +VAT.

So those never to be repeated deals have not been repeated yet and if you look around elsewhere you will see X1900 prices carry on too increase.....

Heh... but still cheaper than a few other etailers to justify forking out on that offer right? :)

Damnit! only bought a x1800xt 512 monday night :(

Sorry to say the X1800XT 512MB can still be picked up cheaper. I appreciate you guys are trying and mostly succeeding but needs tiny bit more to claim top spot :) Love this site to bits and first place I look so not meant negatively.

Other sites have been doing 7900GTs for £200inc vat & free delivery, any chance of ocuk matching these deals soon?

Nope, other sites don't have stock!

Gibbo could you give me a quick comparison on the 7900GT v 7800GTX.Do the extra pipes make that much of a difference?

They both have 24 pipelines! :)

7900 GT however is a far superior overclocker. :)
