Another story for the daily fail..

The Daily Fail will love this!

Edit: Respect leader denies soldier standing ovation 'snub'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12364253

nvrm the brief, that link is spot on an i agree completely with the chick thats talkin on camera....

ppl's agenda's for the general public to fall blindly asleep and baah like the sheep they want them to be should be scrutinised a lot more and brought into the publics eyes if only for them to be woken up to what bull**** really is in control of our lives

She is free to express herself however she wishes. That freedom and others like it is why Lance Corporal Matt Croucher and others like him are fighting.

Garbage, no matter what other people do, you applaud the person you respect the service, so says she respects the solider (yes refused to applaud/acknowledge him) but says its not against him but policital, she has the right means to voice that, she is an idiot.

Non story, if this country becomes like her thinking we will never have an army, look at the state of her for a start.

Nobody wants to go to war but it happens and if you cant support the lads out there then well whats the point of ever having an armed force.

think you missed the point of what she was saying m8.... she was saying why should the politicians bring up a matter hailing bravery in the private chambers making themselves look good in the eyes of the public when infact all they were doing was avading the real reason to why they sent him there in the first place to get shot up

she still commended the soldier etc and acknowledged his brave efforts, but why should the politicians look good over commending him when the truth is they sent him there....

The TALIBAN are running for parliament in the UK?? I'm not sure I follow your logic here.

I am not missing the point at all, I am ambivalent about the point she wants to make politically.

I am however stating categorically that whatever point she made be it personal or political, it is her right to do so. The Royal Marine fought for her to have that right and to castigate her for using it is just as dismissive of the lads sacrifice as anything she may have said or done.

Frankly I am not surprised you don't don't follow given your bias and predilections.

It is simply her right to do as she wishes in this regard. She should not be castigated for it.

In fact what she says makes sense.

and frankly if I am not offended by it then no-one should be.

You have your smarty pants hat on tonight don't you?

+1

Anyway, look at your post count.

All the 6's!

And now you've posted again and wrecked it. Bah.

Like I said a time and a place for it, so she did she kick up a fuss after it, has she done anything about her protest!

She didn't kick up a fuss during it either. She decided that the political background was a suitable place and time to make her statement. That is her prerogative. She made no fuss, she made no speeches, she made no disruption to the service. She merely didn't stand.

Like I said, If I wasn't offended by it, then why are you?

I fail to see what the issue is here. She wasn't the only person who never stood either, who was the other?

I totally agree with you man.

How exactly are the taliban in afganistan threatening the freedom of people in the UK? Are they going to take over the government and execute anyone who doesn't do a standing ovation?

+1

Russia, North Korea and China are the real threats of today imo. Middle eastern countries are nothing, don't attack them and they wont attack back, simple.

They allowed and encouraged training camps for known Terrorist Organisations which threatened and operated within the UK. They also offered 'safe haven' to several organisations including al-Qaeda, who also directly threatened the UK.

Notwithstanding the drug trade and overall stability in the region and the danger of radical elements spreading into Pakistan and the surrounding regions.

There are plenty of justifiable reasons for the Afghani campaign.

I still don't see what you were on about to start with so I can't answer the second half of your post...

However I don't think they are threatening the freedom of the UK.

They are up to bad ****, and no doubt some might eventially end up here.

However I think the percieved threat has been significantly embellished.

Quite what we think we are going to achieve there long term is quite beyond me.
