Hi guys, I currently own a now antiquated 50" Panasonic G20 plasma and im in need of an upgrade. Been planning for a while but continued to wait year on year watching the tech evolve. Clearly its still not perfect but I can't wait much longer.

I originally planned to buy a 55" LG OLED B6 but after reading through the owners thread, there appears to be lots of screen quality issues, plus complaints of judder, then I go on to learn that its only 50s response time which has me concerned for gaming.

I'm considering a 65" Samsung K8000 as an alternative, perceived benefits being a larger TV in the same budget (~£2800), ~20ms response time and seemingly less overall owner issues.

Can anyone offer any feedback please? I know we have a few experinced folks on here. I originally planned a £4K budget but plan to keep the new TV for maybe 3 years and upgrade sooner this time around. I've already done some initial viewing in the high street, but prefer to also hear some owner opinions before I do my last indepth due diligence in store.

Usage:

PS4 gaming
SD/HD TV
1080p MKV bluray rip streaming
Some 4K content once I begin to build my library

I'm a big movie/TV buff with some occasional gaming.

Thanks for everyones input.

Spent a lot of time today at Newcastle, in both Fenwicks and John Lewis comparing the Samsung KS9000 and LG B6. I'm sold on the B6 and would like to purchase a 65" model. My concerns over gaming performance have to be put to one side, as I know movies will just be so enjoyable on the B6 despite the gaming input lag.

Where in the UK is best to purchase and why? John Lewis? Richer Sounds? Online store? Purple shirt brigade? I plan on initially paying on credit card to give me some protection.
