Was geting a carpet fitted in the living room today and just came home from work to find it's not up to scratch.
I was told in the shop that I'd be crazy to buy a 5m wide carpet so the whole room could be done with no joins and that the 4m wide roll with a join on it of about 20cm would save me a fair bit of cash, the salesman assured me that I'd hardly be able to notice it.
The carpet fitter has done a great job in joining the carpet and I probably wouldn't notice it if the bit he was given to join on was the same bloody colour as the main part but as it happens it's much lighter.
My mum went down to my house to let the fitter in and has paid him the full amount for the carpet so I feel that my bargining position on getting this fixed has been significantly weakened.
Anyway, they're coming back on Thursday with a new bit to join on and hopefully that will be the end of it but if it's still unsatisfactory do you think I am within my rights to demand they lift the whole thing and provide me with a full refund?
